Sustainability Policy:
Corporate Social Responsibility
CSR policy with 3 pillars
For PurePack, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means always striving to balance business with care for people and the environment. We work with three pillars to shape our CSR policy: the three P's. The three P's stand for People, Planet, and Profit.

People
Attention to people and employees is important. Being in contact with each other and caring for each other plays an important role in how we do business. That's why we collaborate with social workshops and local self-employed professionals. We also offer the opportunity for internships or integration projects to impart knowledge and/or provide new opportunities. We want to contribute to the enrichment of students by telling them about our profession and teaching them. We also strive to provide a safe working environment for those who need a little more time. To ensure that this also happens elsewhere, our suppliers outside the EU must sign a "Code of Conduct Supplier." This allows us to address issues and ensure that they comply with the laws in their region.

Planet
Environment and energy are big social issues. We deal with them too. Attention to the environment is very important to us: how are raw materials used? What alternatives are there, now and in the future? We always strive to minimise nature's depletion and research good alternatives that come from renewable sources as much as possible.

Profit
Creating economic value by companies ensures that the company is healthy. We deliver economic value by being progressive in our product development: what new insights are there and how can we apply them? We also provide packaging advice, so that each packaging is as sustainable as possible in development, production, packaging of the product, transportation, and disposal and/or recycling of the packaging.
Code of conduct for suppliers
Respect and appreciation for people and products are important to us. That is why we have drawn up a Code of Conduct. With this, we want to ensure that everyone involved in our company is assured of respect and appreciation.
This applies to the entire process: from development to production. With our Code of Conduct, we want to ensure that everyone is treated as follows, taking into account local legislation:
- Child labor or modern slavery is not used.
- The working environment is safe and healthy, in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Every employee is entitled to breaks, food, and drinks.
- Discrimination is not allowed.
- Every employee receives a fair wage.
- Working hours do not exceed the maximum allowed according to local laws and regulations.
- There is an opportunity for employees to join a union.
Sustainable development goals
Through our approach and packaging, we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals established in 2015 by the United Nations as the new global agenda for sustainable development for 2030. PurePack is primarily committed to the following goals from this development agenda

3 - GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
We collaborate with occupational day programs for individuals with disabilities because it is crucial to offer everyone the opportunity to contribute to society. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels valued and experiences a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

12 - RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
Production and consumption, with more efficient use of raw materials, lowers environmental pressure and reduces dependence on them. We contribute to this with recyclable packaging, using raw materials from renewable sources, and producing CO2 neutrally whenever possible.

15 - LIFE IN THE COUNTRY
We utilize biobased raw materials, paper, and cardboard, with FSC certification, ensuring that all wood is sourced from sustainable forests. As an alternative, we also offer PaperWise products, made from raw materials extracted from agricultural waste. To further support biodiversity, we offer growing paper, a unique product infused with seeds.
FSC - Forest Stewardship Council
To protect our valuable forest areas and wood sources, the paper and cardboard used by PurePack come from FSC forest areas. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization committed to the conservation of forests and responsible forest management worldwide. Currently, only 5% of all forests in the world are FSC certified.
Approximately 15% of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by deforestation. The CO₂ absorbed by forests over decades or even centuries is then released. FSC forest management prevents this emission, the forest system remains intact and can continue to absorb CO₂.
